Jonny Evans has insisted he won’t be leaving Manchester United in the summer. Everton and Sunderland — where the Northern Ireland defender enjoyed two loan spells — are considering making a transfer swoop for the 23-year-old centre-back but the Newtownabbey man told the Belfast Telegraph he has unfinished business at Old Trafford. It’s been a frustrating campaign for the man who came through the youth set-up at United but a rumoured loan move in December came to nothing and Evans says he’s in the dark about any summer switch. And he added: “The plan for me is to get back into the Manchester United team and play well. That’s all I’m interested in.”

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail say United have agreed a first option on Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez, 16. The Universidad de Chile striker has impressed in the South American Under 17 Championship in Ecuador, and has trained in Manchester.
The Times say Sir Alex is ready to increase his bid for Atletico Madrid's David de Gea after a £17.5million offer was turned down.

In other news, Bryan Robson has spoken about the England captaincy issue and the way it was taken away from Rio Ferdinand. The Daily Star quote the former Reds and England skipper: "I would have been on the phone to the manager, asking what's going on. I'm just glad it didn't happen in my time."
