Rio Ferdinand met fans in Jakarta on Wednesday as United’s Asia Trophy Tour arrived in Indonesia.
The Reds defender appeared at an event hosted by club partners Hutchinson 3 in the south-east Asian capital, before signing autographs and taking part in a Q&A session with fans, an auction and interviews with the media.The Barclays Premier League trophy, which has clocked up plenty of miles around Asia already, continued its jet-setting adventure by making the journey from China for a photo opportunity with fans, including the active United Indonesia supporters' branch. Rio and the silverware stayed in Jakarta on Thursday to appear at another gathering, organised by Danamon Bank, which included a meet and greet with fans and a signed shirt competition.
Thailand is the final destination for Ferdinand, who’ll be flying to Bangkok on Friday.
The 32-year-old will be at a Singha event at the Central World Shopping Centre from 15:30-17:00 local time, accompanied by the Premier League trophy. ManUtd.com will have a full itinerary for Thailand soon.
