Inter Milan are eyeing a move for Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, who has been linked with a shock switch to Manchester United.
According to reports in Italy, Leonardo has made the Frenchman his No.1 summer target and the club are ready to sanction a bid of around £14million for the Arsenal man.
Nasri, who joined the Gunners in July 2008, is out of contract next summer and has so far failed to commit his future to Arsenal, prompting speculation linking him with a move away.
Old Trafford has been suggested as a possible destination but Corriere dello Sport have now claimed that Inter are willing to offer Nasri a deal worth around £100,000-a-week to join them.
Reports have also claimed that Inter are confident of trumping United in any bid because of Arsene Wenger's reluctance to sell such a key player to one of their title rivals.
Leonardo has already persuaded Wesley Sneijder to commit his future to Inter and he thinks Nasri could be a perfect midfielder partner for the Dutchman.
