Rivals stay in touch

Arsenal narrowed the gap at the top of the table with a 3-1 win at Blackpool, but the Reds still remain seven points clear of the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger's side were 2-0 up by half-time thanks to goals from Abou Diaby and Emmanuel Eboue, but Blackpool never let the visitors rest and Gary Taylor-Fletcher gave the home side a lifeline on 52 minutes after slotting home from close range.
Ian Holloway's side continued to press for the equaliser and were unlucky not to be given a penalty soon after when Taylor-Fletcher was clearly fouled in the area by Laurent Koscielny.
Arsenal, who have a game in hand on United, made sure of the three points 14 minutes from time when substitute Theo Walcott fed Robin van Persie to steer home.
Meanwhile, 24 hours earlier Chelsea kept their faint title hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Wigan at Stamford Bridge thanks to Florent Malouda's second half goal, but the Blues remain 11 points adrift of the Reds with a game in hand.
