Man United Keen On £10m Rated Teenage Winger With Great Potential

Talented teenager Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly a Man United summer target. Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be an admirer of the pint sized winger who was on display at Wembley as Switzerland took on England in Euro 2012 action.
The 19 year old Basel youngster has been getting rave reviews and is expected to leave his Swiss side this summer with a wealth of Europe’s elite reportedly looking to snap up the cultured wide man. The starlet is a regular member of the national team set-up and has already helped his side to two domestic titles and perhaps most importantly has also impressed in Champions League action.
Ferguson is looking to bring in youthful additions this summer as a number of Man United’s elder generation bow out and after bringing in the likes of Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez last summer has been linked with a number of youngsters including Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell, Sunderland youngster Jordan Henderson and Blackburn Rovers centre back Phil Jones.
£10m rated Shaqiri is also being trailed by Liverpool, Juventus and a number of Bundesliga sides but will surely be tempted by a move to Old Trafford if a bid is indeed forthcoming. Ferguson has a number of wide options but given that Nani has spent a chunk of the end of the season on the bench, and reportedly not too happy about that fact, and that Luis Antonio Valencia is returning from long term injury and Ryan Giggs is nearing the end of his glittering career, a move for the starlet could be a wise one.
Man United are also apparently open to offers for French winger Gabriel Obertan which would help create space in the club’s squad for the Swiss international.
