Owen reveals Final focus

Michael Owen says the players are determined to round the title-winning campaign off with a final day win over Blackpool on Sunday, but admits much of United's current focus is on the Champions League final.

Sir Alex’s men meet Barcelona at Wembley on Saturday week and Owen says all the players are relishing the challenge.
“These are exciting times,” he told MUTV at the Player of the Year awards.
“We obviously have a duty to the league to perform against Blackpool and we want to win that game, but I’d be lying if I said one eye wasn’t on the Barcelona match.
“A lot of what we’re doing in training is focused on stopping them. I was playing as David Villa on the left wing today in training!
“So we’re starting to prepare for the final, but we’ll certainly be focused on the Blackpool game on Sunday.”
Although he hasn’t been involved as much as he’d have liked this term, Owen insists it’s been an honour to be part of a record-breaking team.
“Just being in and around this team and under this management is a great privilege," he added.
"With it being the 19th title it’s created that extra bit of buzz around the city and amongst the
players and fans.
“It’s been great to be part of such a good season. The lads have done remarkably well, but there’s still one more big, big game to go. Hopefully we can get the result we want.”
