Reds reach European final

United v Barcelona
28 May 2011
Wembley Stadium

"It's fantastic for the club [to be in a third final in four years]. I've said it many times, we should have done better in Europe over the years. I think we're getting closer to that. I think this team can win the cup. I think it's a team full of great desire and determination. These qualities, allied to their ability, will help them at Wembley."
- Sir Alex Ferguson

United will meet Barcelona in the Champions League final at Wembley later this month after seeing off the challenge of Schalke.
It will be the Reds' third European final in four years, having previously reached the 2008 and 2009 showpieces.
While the 2008 spectacle ended in triumph, following a penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea, the 2009 final was one to forget with Sir Alex's men beaten 2-0 by Barcelona.
The two sides will meet again on Saturday 28 May at Wembley as the Reds look to secure a fourth European Cup.
